I am good at ideating mechanical and physical parts of the building process. I add tremendous value to the “robotics building team” (hardware) in building, testing and reiterating hardware, electrical systems. I also have significant experience working with various sensors including but not limited to tactile sensors, proximity sensors, IR sensors, ultrasonic sensors, sound sensors and navigation/positioning sensors, among others. I have also worked extensively with motors & actuators.

I have designed and built robots for FTC and FRC made from aircraft-grade aluminium. They use RoboRIO controllers, mecanum wheels, lidar and onboard image processing for task recognition. These robots typically weigh up to 125 pounds (57 kg). In the process of designing & building these robots, I have gained experience working with power tools too.

3D Printing - Testing parts before they are fabricated.

Fabrication- Experience using several precision tools such as a router.

Laser cutting- For cutting shapes and designs into sheet metal.

Plasma cutting – I have used the plasma cutter to precisely and quickly cut chassis to the desired length.

Welding- I have done welding as part of building the Robots
Power Tools Operation- I am in charge of teaching the entire team how to safely power, operate and bench tools.

CAD- The CAD submission for the Robot was during our exams so I balanced my studies along with the CAD so our team could submit the design and stay In the competition. Most times staying up till 4:30 am

First-Aid - I am experienced & confident with the First-Aid and safety precautions required to work in R&D and D&T labs. I have learned disinfecting, coating with betadine, gauze and compression bandaging a bleeding wound.

Coding strategy - Helped create the ideological logic and reduced its complexity.
